"I work in various painting, drawing, printmaking and mixed mediums.  The work I do is some form of exploration.  Since we're all human, the work may serve as a way of communication through myself and, perhaps, through others.
The artwork I present here is work I simply try to care about doing.  Whether the work is comic or serious or seriously comic or comically serious you can see for yourself what you think or what you get out of it.
Just a quick anecdote:  I remember reading a biography of Franz Kafka.  He and his friends, including Max Brod, got together evenings and Kafka would read from his story 'Metamorphosis', which he was working on at the time.  If you know the story of a servile son in a patriachal family who becomes a bug, then it's pretty absurdly tragic, but Kafka and his pals all spent the evenings laughing their heads of at this absurd farce taken to some kind of level people still keep trying to figure out.
Kafka would read his passages and laughed more than anyone else.  But who knows what was going on inside of him, his friends or any of us?"
